A wonderful selection from our best artists and craftspeople with gifts for Christmas in mind
About
Our Christmas exhibition will be a wonderful display of paintings, original prints, sculpture, ceramics, glass, automata, mixed media, photography and handmade jewellery by our best artists and designer-makers with gifts for Christmas in mind.
We will be showcasing wooden sculptures and box constructions by Alex Malcolmson. These are made mainly from wood; carved and painted, sometimes using found materials.
Having been born and raised in the Shetland isles, Alex draws much of his inspiration from ships, sailing trips, the Northern Isles and marine folk art.
We will also be displaying a range of objects/automata by John Grayson who takes traditional metalworking processes and applies them within a contemporary craft.
