„Catwalk – Pretty and Pink“ von Christina Paetsch:
Vorrangig beschäftigt sich Christina Paetsch mit Wahrnehmungsprozessen unserer Gesellschaft im Spannungsfeld von Ekel und Schönheit, von Natur und Künstlichkeit. Ihre Werke arbeiten mit dem Prinzip der Collage in den Aktionsfeldern Fotografie und Installation. Themen wie z. B. die Wertschätzung gegenüber Lebensmitteln in unserer Überflussgesellschaft, die gleichzeitig eine konstante Überforderung darstellt, interessieren Sie ebenso wie der Entzug und Verlust von Existenzgrundlagen, deren Folgen wir in seiner Komplexität kaum erkennen können. Die zentrale Arbeit der Ausstellung Catwalk – Pretty and Pink zeigt einen Laufsteg, auf dem sich Gugelhupfe zur Schau stellen. 
Der Laufsteg als Symbol für Extravaganz und Schönheit. Es stellt sich die Frage, was Schönheit ist. In Zeiten von Schönheitschirurgie, Reproduktions- und Transplantationstechnik fällt es immer schwerer, Schönheit zu definieren. 

Christina Paetsch is primarily concerned with processes of perception in our society in the field of tension between disgust and beauty, nature and artificiality. She works with the principle of collage in the fields of photography and installation. She is interested in topics such as the appreciation of food in our affluent society, which at the same time represents a constant overload, as well as the deprivation and loss of livelihoods, the consequences of which we can hardly recognize in their complexity. The central work of the exhibition Catwalk - Pretty and Pink shows a catwalk on which cakes are displayed. 
The catwalk is a symbol of extravagance and beauty. It raises the question of what beauty is. In the age of cosmetic surgery, reproduction and transplantation technology, it is becoming increasingly difficult to define beauty.
