CHRISTIAN NEWBY Preview: Tuesday 15 October 2013, 6-9pm A solo show of new works by Christian Newby, displaying a diverse accumulation of his practice, which includes screenprints, wallpaper and objects, that reconfigure the formal and decorative sources from which they derive. Newby will explore Vitrine as a site for potential theatricality oscillating between the experiential and material world.à‚  Christian Newby (born. 1979 Virginia Beach, Virginia) currently lives and works in London, he recently completed a residency at The Florence Trust. He received his B.A. in Sculpture and Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002, followed by an M.F.A. at Glasgow School of Art in 2009.
