Chris Levine: Selected Works
About
The Little Black Gallery is proud to announce CHRIS LEVINE: Selected Works from 26 October - 26 November 2011.Chris Levine is the number one light artist in the world, most famous for his 2004 image Lightness of Being of the Queen with her eyes shut (currently being shown as part of the National Portrait Gallery's touring exhibition The Queen: Art and Image).
The Little Black Gallery, London's boutique photography gallery, will exhibit a selection of works from Chris's career including the extraordinary installation Light is Love in the window of the gallery, works from his Grace Jones series, abstract lightform giclees, holograms, plus a new lightbox of Lightness of Being of the Queen.
All of Chris's work is in the pursuit of sensory experience through image and form. All objects and imagery are interacted with through the sensorial input of light energy and physical sensation.
Chris is currently working on a collaboration with Antony and the Johnsons culminating in a show and installation at MOMA in New York.
