About
Every Chris Buck photo is a mystery, a pervading, off-putting idea, always conceptual, often visceral, and sometimes unfathomable. I love penetrating words that make you think, and I adore startling images that are invasive.
— George Lois, Legendary Art Director
Uneasy is the culmination of 30 years of portraiture by New York photographer Chris Buck. Uneasy constructs a road map of contemporary culture, featuring a wide range of subjects, including many of the most recognizable names today: President Barack Obama, George Clooney, Joaquin Phoenix, Lena Dunham, Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Louis C.K., Judd Apatow, Philip Seymour Hoffman, William Shatner, Aziz Ansari, Kristen Stewart, Jay Z, Cindy Sherman, Jimmy Fallon and Donald Trump.
Many of his portraits have become the iconic images of these subjects, including Steve Martin, Andy Samberg, Chris Farley, Billy Bob Thornton, and Michele Bachmann. Uneasy brings this singular work together in a large-scale exhibition and an elegantly designed hard cover book.
