About
Born in India and growing up as a child artist steadily garnering prizes, contemporary conceptual painter and art educator Chitra Ramanathan's career in the U.S continued on Broadway's SoHo Gallery District, New York City in 1995, her now-extensive body of work explores the elusive quality of happiness to portray joy in visual form. The theme of her work took shape during an extended visit to Paris, France in 1992 dedicated to studying the French Masters.
