About
We’ve been inspired by the weird and wonderful world of festive movies to make some alternative decorations to take home! Is Jack Skellington your holiday hero, or maybe The Grinch is your guy – whatever puts you in the festive spirit, be inspired by design in films and stories to make your very own bespoke decoration to take home and display.
Led by professional artist facilitators, you will have a choice of materials and types of decorations to make, including painted garlands and baubles.
This session has been inspired by our family film screenings of the The Muppet Christmas Carol (17 December) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (18 Dec), however you don’t need to be a fan of these films to enjoy the workshop!
This workshop is for children age 8-12yrs at Fabrica, an arts venue based in a former church. The space will be decked out with festive decorations and twinkly lights and there will be some joyful tunes on throughout the workshop.
Parents are welcome to leave their children on site - take advantage of the surrounding shops and cafes for some last minute holiday shopping, or take a well-earned break. If you prefer, you are also welcome to stay on site at Fabrica during the session where hot drinks and mince pies will be available for purchase at our in-house charity cafe.
