To celebrate the launch of Nobrow's new children's imprint Flying Eye Books, the celebrated graphic novel publisher is hosting two special workshops at Foyles aimed at young graphic artists: Welcome to your Awesome Robot! (10.30am — 12.30pm) Renowned graphic artist Viviane Schwarz leads a workshop for children aged 4 — 8 and their parents. Based on her new book Welcome to Your Awesome Robot, Nobrow will provide everything attendees need for their very own awesome robotic creation. Expect industrious concentration and fabulous cardboard costumes (with excited children inside them!) Plus: ticket prices include a copy of Welcome to Your Awesome Robot. Please note that an adult is required to supervise their child throughout the session (maximum two children per one adult please). All materials will be supplied. Please visit www.foyles.co.uk/events to purchase Wild Animals and Curious Creatures with illustrator Emily Hughes (1.30pm — 3.30pm) In this fun-packed workshop budding artists and storytellers will have the chance to allow their imaginations to run wild, conjuring-up and then creating a collection of curious creatures and magical monsters under the expert guidance of noted illustrator Emily Hughes. Her debut children's book Wild will also be released by Flying Eye Books in June, and Emily will be giving kids a sneak peak during the session. Included in the price of the ticket will be a free Flying Eye comic book. Suitable for children aged 6 — 11 Please note that an adult is required to supervise their child throughout the session (maximum two children per one adult please). All materials supplied.
