Chih-Chien Wang works with photography, video, objects and text, and occasionally also integrates performative and sound elements into his works.
About
He devotes himself to the process of approaching individual perceptions of reality; to do so, he investigates the constructs of language, meaning, identity and memory while simultaneously observing the artistic process of creativity. One characteristic of Wang’s work is the incomparable way in which he stages found objects in the context of his photo, video and installative works, thereby always allowing the fascinating beauty of everyday objects to become visible through skillful play with coincidence and precision.
In the exhibition Under Two Lights the public literally enters into an installation that presents Wang’s photo and video works in an unusual context, offering a large number of far from everyday perspectives on the works. The exhibition is being presented in the context of the EMOP Berlin – European Month of Photography
