Join us on Thursday 5th October for the private view of Cherry Pickles' solo exhibition 'I Killed a Hitchhiker Back in ’86'. It will be the first exhibition in our new space in the Chaplin Centre on the ground floor of Taplow House.Working from observation, Pickles inserts herself into semi-fictionalised scenarios, creating a series of new personas for her to assume and impersonate. As a viewer, our close proximity to the scene – such as sitting around the table or riding in the car – means we ourselves assume a new identity. We become a companion...a witness...an accomplice to the events unfolding around us.
