About
Charlotte Keats
Charlotte Keats’ painting is a dynamic dialogue of subject and object which is playfully difficult to pin down. She imbues the locations she depicts with a mediative atmosphere through sensitive exploration of light and colour. Charlotte creates dream worlds imbued with tension between seductive atmosphere and self-conscious illusion, interiors are infiltrated by outside locations. Doors and windows ask to be opened whilst areas of the painting’s surface open up to reveal the undercoat of chalk and glue that provides a sense of gravity to the image.
Christina Fedyk
With their diverse influences, including music, conversation and landscape, Christina Fedyk’s paintings and prints weave together marks creating abstract images with richness and depth. ‘My approach is spontaneous and intuitive… it is a way of describing the way things feel. I mostly work with paint and print making using basic techniques which allow me to work in a very direct way. The sense and feel of the work develops through its making and seems to reach its own conclusion.’
