About
Charles Simpson was born in Scotland in 1952. He attended the Glasgow School of Art, graduating with BA (Hons) in 1975, and worked as a graphic designer before becoming a full-time artist. An acclaimed landscape painter with a fascination with the west coast of Scotland, Simpson has exhibited throughout the UK and his work is in collections world-wide. In 2003 he was awarded ‘The Discerning Eye’ Chairman’s Purchase Award.
