A collection of portraits and photographs from travels through the Caribbean

About

Phil Goldsborough is a self taught artist based in Middleton St George. He first exhibited paintings in Darlington Library as Painter of the Month in 1975. He has since exhibited in Darlington Art Centre. This is his first major exhibition since 2010.

Eileen Goldsborough is a keen amateur photographer who has had photographs published in the Northern Echo and specialist photography magazines, as well as BBC weather bulletins. In 2014 she won a prestigious photography competition for the Jersey Tourist Board and has been a member of the Northern Echo photography club since its formation.

During their travels through the Caribbean and Cuba in December 2016 and December 2017 they were inspired by the sights and characters they came across.

For the first time they have joined forces to produce the exhibitions - Phil painting portraits and Eileen photographing the unusual and quirky characteristics of the countries visited.

Phil will be painting at the gallery on Saturday/Sunday 6th and 7th April and 13th /14th April between 10am and 3 pm, and will be at the The Station daily from 10am - 4pm throughout the exhibition.
