For her solo-show, local artist Chantal Rens shows analogue collages and prints, new sculptures and interventions in the exhibition space. In addition, there is a book launch.

Chantal Rens presents her solo-exhibition YOU RUN AROUND TOWN LIKE A FOOL AND YOU THINK THAT IT’S GROOVY at SEA Foundation in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
The artist practice of Chantal Rens consists mainly of collecting, categorising and reusing source materials. For example, she has piles of old family photos and organised clippings from vintage magazines in her studio. For this exhibition she emphasises the spontaneity of the everyday perception and encounter, such as with a dog on the street or a staring cat in the window. Next to visual artworks, she will present her new artist book with collages YOU RUN AROUND TOWN LIKE A FOOL AND YOU THINK THAT IT’S GROOVY 2. Furthermore, Chantal presents objects that are documented in a remarkable catalogue.
With her artist practice, Chantal Rens joins the theme on Happiness, as one of the 12 chapters of the long-term programme on art and sustainability at the art organisation in Tilburg. YOU RUN [...] is on view from April 16 until May 8, 2022.
