Participating artists: Thomas Behling, Ulf Dieter, Uta Ionescu, Annemarie Laber, Michael H. Rohde, Stella Sander, Ilse Tauchert (27.11.1918 09.04.2014) and Sally Underwood.
The idea for the private gallery was conceived shortly after Ilse Tauchert's death: to use her flat as a gallery space and show her paintings alongside the work of contemporary Berlin-based artists.
During Berlin Art Week 2014, the apartment becomes a 'Gesamtkunstwerk'. Michael H. Rohde presents his photographic work and Sally Underwood shows some incapacitated figurative ceramic sculptures. Stella Sander's work (photography) observes temporal boundaries while Thomas Behling (picture-objects) addresses the recognition or familiarity effect in his work. Uta Ionescu makes drawings from everyday objects collected during her walks. Annemarie Laber (fashion designer) has created wearable textile objects using starched damask tablecloths, which are part of Ilse Tauchert's estate. Ulf Dieter (photography) shows a documentary image of a Tunis rave party in December 2002.
Ilse Tauchert's oil paintings of animals and landscapes were first exhibited during the Berlin Gallery Weekend in May 2014.
