The turntable gallery is absolutely delighted to launch our newest addition to the turntable family: the tt88 gallery! Though we’ve hosted the Festival of the Sea, on our Wharncliffe road site, we’ve yet to show off its full artistic credentials. That’s all set to change on Saturday 16th September 2023.

Running for four weeks, Chad McCail will be showing Even Rations. This spectacular exhibition will feature a pitched battle between fantastic creatures, and the citizens of an urban housing estate. Each of our lower galleries will be brimming with these scenes of defiance and solidarity in the face of impossible odds. In addition, we will be showcasing a wide range of 2D works and asking visitors where they would like to see Chad’s ‘Liars of Earth’ situated. This 100ft mural, is by far the counties most intricate, and has been generously gifted by the artist himself.

Not only will this installation form the inaugural exhibition at tt88, but it will signal the beginning of an ongoing calendar of events at our newest gallery on the docks. In conjunction with WE1 Heritage, we’re incredibly excited to be part of the regeneration of this part of our beloved town. Come join the festivities of the Docks Open Weekend, and meet the artist!

Chad's work will be split across both our galleries.

Please note - for the Docks Open Weekend on 16th September - turntable gallery will be open from 10-12.30 and the t88 gallery will be open from 10-4.
