Exhibition of new limited edition prints and works on paper by the renowned artist Celia Paul.

About

Ten new soft-ground etchings, characterised by an intense feeling of light and atmosphere radiating from the complex tones of the medium, will go on exhibition with Adam & Rowe in March this year at Enitharmon Editions in London.

As with many of Celia Paul's recent paintings, these works represent something of a departure for the artist with their focus being on the places where she lives and works. Two of the subjects, The British Museum and the plane tree, are visible from her studio in one direction and the spire of St George's, Bloomsbury from another.

Exhibition
The prints will be part of an exhibition, Celia Paul: Prints & Small Works on Paper at Enitharmon Editions, Bloomsbury, London, in March 2015. They will be shown alongside a selection of watercolours and drawings, some of which are observations of nature sketched during Celia Paul's visits to Wales, Cambridgeshire and Devon.

The Prints
Each etching has been printed by Paupers Press, Hoxton, London, on Somerset 300 gsm, soft white paper, in a limited edition of 15, and has been signed, numbered and entitled in pencil by the artist.

Catalogue A fully illustrated, 28pp catalogue with a new poem by Rowan Williams, inspired by the prints and works on paper, will be available in March.
