New work by Feckenham artists Ian Ridley and Julian Bull exploring the theme of Nature
About
The impending crisis of climate change combined with the coronavirus pandemic has made many people re-evaluate the importance of our countryside, and how we respond to nature and the planet.
As nature is central to the work of Feckenham artists Ian Ridley and Julian Bull they’ve joined forces to create an exhibition celebrating its beauty and diversity through their art.
The result is “Celebrating Nature“ an exhibition featuring over 150 original acrylics, watercolours and prints together with Eco-themed printed T-shirts, wooden objects and fine art greetings cards will be held in the main room of the Village Hall in Feckenham. It will be the first time that an art exhibition of this size has been held in the village and the venue will ensure a comfortable degree of social distancing.
Landscape artist Ian is a member of the Birmingham Watercolour Society, and an award winning artist in both watercolours and acrylics and who’s work can be seen at www.ianridleywatercolours.co.uk
Julian calls his recent work ’The Art of Printing Trees’ and has just launched a website www.visibull.co.uk which focusses on releasing the hidden beauty within nature through a technique to make striking prints from sections of trees onto contemporary wall prints, T-shirts and light boxes.
The show is free to enter and open on 23rd and 24th October 10am-4pm and a contribution from sales will be made to the “Music for Dementia” charities.
