She has painted her interpretation of the movement, light, colour and passion of the ceilidhs and many of the musicians involved. "I love the look of pure joy on each musician's face as they lose track of the world while the music happens. These musicians represent a collection of unique traditional styles that have captured my own passion along with the land that inspires them."

Gail Wendorf studied at the Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, the University of California, Irvine and the California State University in Los Angeles where she obtained a BA in Archaeological Illustration.

Gail now lives and works in Inverness-shire. Her inspiration comes from both the people and the countryside around her.
