Due to popular and terrifying demand, 2016 Artist-In-Residence Cecilia Corrigan returns to the ISSUE ballroom October 8th. This performance is a supernatural-thriller version of Corrigan's act at September 13th's sold out show Erased Architectures. Serving as Ms. Corrigan's yearly reminder of her eventual decay and death, aka her birthday, the evening anticipates the December premiere at ISSUE of Motherland, Corrigan's theatre and video-based narrative which explores the American electorate's psychotic mommy issues. The event includes the screening of video installments currently featured by BOMB Magazine.
As if that wasn't scary enough, the show also marks the 30 day countdown from our national reckoning, so come enjoy what may be one of our last nights of free expression and gay-ety before the hammer falls. In addition to Corrigan's political and spiritually devastated "comedy," the floorshow will feature (to be announce!) special guests. After the show there will be conspicuous consumption, dancing and mingling with the stars, all of which adds up to a "great party."
