CAUGHT ON CAMERA; STREET LIFE AND BEYOND - A TALK BY JOHN FALCONER

About

An illustrated talk, exploring gems of photographic depiction of everyday life, street scenes and vanished worlds from the British Library's photography collections. The British Library's collections span the history of photography from across the world from the earliest days of the medium. This talk will examine aspects of the collection, from the work of the British inventor of photography, William Henry Fox Talbot, in the 1840s, to the street photography of Walter Joseph a century later.
