About
Mazzoleni are delighted to participate in the sixth edition of Mayfair Art Weekend which will take place this summer from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 June 2019. Mayfair Art Weekend presents an opportunity to celebrate and explore the rich cultural heritage of Mayfair as one of the world’s most historic and thriving art quarters for modern and contemporary art.
Join Mazzoleni gallery on Friday 28th June at 6.30 pm when a new catalogue, Nunzio: The Shock of Objectivity will presented. The catalogue includes an essay by curator and art critic Kenneth Baker, and an interview with Nunzio by Jutta Mattern, curator of contemporary art at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, Germany. The exhibition The Shock of Objectivity, displays a newly conceived site-specific work Avvoltoio (Vulture) – a dramatic “sculptural island” rising within the gallery space, alongside a selection of combusted wooden sculptures and imposing lead works, that represents the artistic path that Nunzio has followed with meticulous consistency from the late eighties to the most recent years.
