CAST Café will host a screening of seminal 1973 surf documentary ‘Crystal Voyager’ on Saturday 19th January at 7pm.
Structured as a loose biography of pioneering surfer, cameraman and filmmaker George Greenough, the film follows him on his quest to build an ocean-going yacht, perfect his custom boards and fins, and find the ultimate ride. The film ends with a ground breaking slow motion sequence from inside the wave, filmed from a camera strapped to Greenough’s back and set to the Pink Floyd track ‘Echoes’. Mind blowingly awesome!
CAST Café will be serving our usual something hot and something sweet from £7.50 from 6pm, no need to book.
