About
The Museo Guttuso is proud to present "CAREful Details," a collective exhibition of photography and visual arts that explores the theme of “care” and attention to details. Curated by Arrigo Musti, the exhibition invites the audience to reflect on the concept of detail orientation in a broad sense, through the traces left by humanity in both ordinary and extraordinary contexts.
Featured Artists:
Francesco Domilici, Anna Fici, Lev Manovich, Giancarlo Marcocchi, Stefano Montes, Gaetano Sabato, Fabio Savagnone
Press Conference: October 3, at 5:00 PM at Villa Cattolica
Opening: October 3 at 6:30 PM at Museo Guttuso, free entry.
On October 4 and 5, an international conference titled "Caring Taking Care" will follow, organized by Professor Stefano Montes and the organizing committee composed of Jacob Bessen, Anna Fici, Claudio Gnoffo, Stefano Montes, Arrigo Musti, Rossana Salerno, and Gaetano Sabato.

"CAREful Details" is not just a visual journey but also an invitation to reflect on the importance of care and attention to details in our daily lives. The exhibited works, powerful and evocative, encourage a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, prompting the audience to examine not only the intrinsic meaning of “care or its absence” through the artworks but also their relevance in the contemporary social context.
In contrast to contemporary individualistic tendencies, the exhibition emphasizes the value of human relationships and community, affirming that every gesture of attention represents an opportunity to enrich our humanity and our shared space.
The curator and artist Arrigo Musti stated:
"I do not like roles; I love contemporary art that has a strong and current relevance. That’s why I often choose to be not only the artist but also the curator 'for fun,' and for this reason, I strive to give my best. This exhibition is a team effort that has produced an extraordinary visual and immersive pathway among the works of artists and thinkers of great stature."
Metaphorically guided by a global excellence, who will connect from New York for the "Caring Taking Care" Conference at Museo Guttuso, her name is Lev Manovich, an artist and author included in the lists "25 People Shaping the Future of Design" (Complex, 2013) and "50 Most Interesting People Building the Future" (Verge, 2014). He is one of the most influential theorists of digital culture in the world. His work has been showcased in dozens of solo exhibitions and 122 international collective exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as the Institute for Contemporary Art (London), MoMa, Centre Pompidou, Shanghai Biennale, and ZKM | Center for Art and Media, among others.
He is a Professor and Dean of Computer Science at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and directs the Cultural Analytics Lab.
