Monica is a writer, artist and filmmaker of a Sudanese and Iraqi background. Her goal is to continue to make radical content that challenges or disrupts antiquated oppressive systems through the infinite mediums of art. Currently concentrating on her writing, Monica hopes to publish works on the experience of grief, mental health, queerness, intersectionality, radical love and liberation.
Coming from a South Asian / Jewish background, Mia describes her visual style as cinematic, intimate and feminine. Her narrative style focuses on diverse stories, with an aim to uplift minorities and create social justice.
