Two London based artists, ceramicist Robert Dawson and Sculptor Steve Bunn are exhibiting some new and exciting work at New Greenham Arts during July. Robert was one of 30 who recently won the Jerwood Contemporary Makers prize, now on show at Jerwood Space from 16 June— 25 July — see http://www.jerwoodvisualarts.org/appliedarts/ Robert and Steve were both students at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1999, Robert with an MA in Glass and Ceramics and Steve with an MA in Sculpture. This emotionally charged and new body of work, both original and somewhat quirky in content, guarantees to make you think differently, both about ‘art' and the world we live in, exploring themes relating to distance, remoteness and location.
