Join Bombay61 and Ministry of Mumbai’s Magic for an online panel discussion ‘By the Kolis, Of the Kolis & For the Kolis’ which will explore the future of the Koli community in Mumbai and the betterment of their culture and people. The talk on 21 August from 5 pm - 6:30 pm with Ganesh Nakhawa (Chairman of Purse Seine Fishing Welfare Association, Director of Karanja Fisheries Society), Rajhans Tapke (General Secretary of Koli Mahasangh and a social entrepreneur), and Vikas Koli (Working President of the National Association of Fishermen, Maharashtra and a social entrepreneur) will touch upon various community-led initiatives that intend to strengthen the identity of the Kolis.

This discussion is underpinned by themes explored in the digital photography exhibition ‘Through the Eyes of the Kolis : A reflection on Mumbai’s past, present and future’, curated and developed by Bombay61 Studio, in collaboration with Ministry of Mumbai’s Magic, and hosted by The Heritage Lab.
