FORMA II EXHIBITION

A solo show by Angus Joseph, exploring further the connection between the landscape and the senses. The show is the second of its kind, developing ideas first exhibited in the previous FORMA show at Forty Seven LDN, Denmark Hill. This exhibition, will predominantly feature a new collection of oil paintings ameliorating a recent body of work, FORMA.

The artist's previous painting series at the chapel, PETRICHOR, stemmed from the sensory experience of rain on dry earth. This new series is a visual exploration of a variety of landscapes on Earth, through the abstraction of aerial views.

The paintings themselves are relief, representing the contours of the landscape, but are most distinctive in their use of colour - portraying unique seasonal and geographical significance . The show will consist of a multitude of works including painting, drawing and collage, with the addition of one piece that will be worked on daily by the artist throughout the residency at the chapel. The artist will also be hosting open sessions in the forthcoming week prior to the private view.
