Inspired by her Guatemalan heritage, curator Jennifer Rizzo utilized the exhibition to explore her own connection to her roots, memories and sense of identity, themes which many of the featured artists consider in their daily practice. The exhibition serves as a snapshot of contemporary Latinx femme-identifying artists and represents eight distinct countries.
