BURST DIVERSE UNIVERSE 1-3 JULY 2011 International Live Art Festival Public Events: Saturday 2nd July, 7pm, at Copenhagen Place 86 Copenhagen Place, Poplar, London E14 7DE Sunday 3rd July, 7pm, at Stoke Newington International Airport 1-15 Leswin Place, Stoke Newington, London N16 7NJ You are warmly invited to BURST Diverse Universe. Saturdays program of individual performances including, Emma Bennett, Non Grata, AABier, Leah Lovett, Lennie Lee — and on Sunday the artists will present a new collective performance. The festival also includes a performance by Bill Aitchison and Sian Robinson-Daves, Not Balloon and more in conversation. BURST Diverse Universe is an artist-led project programming public performances alongside a facilitated program of open conversations between artists from the UK and — volcanoes permitting — artists from mainland Europe and USA. The project brings together artists representing a wide range of trends in contemporary performance from the conceptual to trash to create shared alternative space for creative discourse, leading to collaboration - whilst bringing the audience along with thought-provoking performance work. BURST Diverse Universe forms the final leg of Diverse Universe festival a series of European events taking place in Paris, Berlin, Cologne, Piotrków Trybunalski, Riga, Pärnu, Tallinn, Helsinki, Tampere, Pori, Stavanger, Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen and London during May to early July 2011 — together forming one of the biggest performance and live art festivals in Europe. Diverse Universe is an example of trans-European collaboration connecting together the resources of national organisers to activate cultural cross-fertilisation at an International level.
