A listening party of Burial's album Untrue, hosted by writer Emma Warren in conversation with Jason Goz, who mastered both Burial albums.

About

Burial’s 2nd album Untrue (2007) is widely regarded as an era defining record for electronic music and dubstep. Released on the Hyperdub label, the albums novel production techniques, dark textures, and vocals paint a picture of a dark, rainy moody London filled with atomised individuals traversing its lonely streets. The album came to define a generations relationship to electronic music and provide a sound track for many’s lived experience.

Writer Emma Warren and mastering enginner Jason Goz, who worked on both Burial albums, will be in conversation discussing Untrue. Their conversation will explore stories from the Untrue mastering session, the unique sound of Burial and his far reaching legacy in electronic music and culture.

As part of the event the album will be played in its entirety through TACO!’s resident RTM Solidairty Sound System.

The event is ticketed with limited places. Booking essential.
