About
'Burgers and Noodles'
Burgers and Noodles is an exhibition in response to the recent EAT-Lancet Commisions' report on healthy diets from sustainable food systems. With our series of photographs we hope to make viewers aware of the findings in the report, that there is a need to feed a growing global population a healthy diet thus sustaining a healthy planet. The EAT-Lancet Commision, a three year long project involving scientists from 16 diffeent countries, now provides the first scientific targets for a healthy diet that operates within the planetary boundaries.
Japan ranks second in the world for life expectancy whilst the UK ranks 29th. As photographers Dawn and Marianne started a discussion about food commenting on each others Instagram photographs. This lead to a collaboration in the form of this photographic exhibition.
Through the juxtaposition of images, this exhibition hopes to be athought provoking journey in contempory concerns.
