About
The Gallery DMU is proud to present a new catwalk and exhibition by artist Bruce Asbestos, showcasing his work at the intersection of fashion, film, and artificial intelligence. The exhibition features Asbestos’ latest AI-generated fashion designs, alongside a curated selection of his catwalk films showcasing his evolution as an artist and designer.
For his A/W2024 Collection Asbestos has drawn on his fascination with Bauhaus and its core principles as the foundation for his AI prompts. The resulting designs developed into real-life catwalk are a testament to the enduring impact of the Bauhaus ethos, reimagined for the digital age. Sleek lines, bold colours, and geometric forms merge with cutting-edge materials, 3D printing and creating garments that are at once timeless and futuristic.
The catwalk takes place 7pm, 3 July 2024. Free with limited entry.
Featuring a selection of iconic catwalk designs and immersive large-scale projections of the artist's catwalk films, the exhibition pays homage to Asbestos’ signature blend of fashion, art, pop culture, and technology.
