Broken Loops takes centre stage at London's Vault Festival

About

Beneath Waterloo Station, Fairmile Social Club sits frozen in time. It is here that Cheryl and Rose meet, a mother and daughter reunited after more than a decade apart. Together they embark on an emotional journey, revealing family secrets both bleak and beautiful, inviting the audience to seek out their past through the memories lying dormant inside objects and space. Directed by highly acclaimed Kerri McLean & written by Rolemop's founder member Alex Buckley, Broken Loops is a fully interactive and immersive performance, combining digital technology and theatre to offer audience members the chance to influence the progression of the narrative. By triggering a series of audio-visual sensors, audience members instigate the characters to recall their memories in the form of projected video, controlling the shape of the narrative with their selections and guiding the piece to one of three endings.
