Plymouth University History Lecture Series Professor Kevin Jefferys Kevin Jefferys is one of the leading experts on British political and social history since 1939. His current research interests delve into the history of sport in Britain during the 20th Century, with a particular emphasis on the Olympics. His publications include The Churchill Coalition and Wartime Politics 1940-1945; The Attlee Governments 1945-1951; The Labour Party since 1945 and Politics and the People: A History of British Democracy Since 1918. His lecture stems from his forthcoming monograph on Sport and Politics in Modern Britain.
