To celebrate Bristol Refugee Festival and Celebrating Sanctuary Weekend, Arnolfini and UWE’s International students from Art and Design will be collaborating with the talented BRAC artists to run a weekend of Artist bookmaking for families. Learn to create your own artist book through interesting folding techniques.
All materials are provided.
Spaces are limited to 20 families at one time.

BRAC is a collective of Bristol artists who are refugees and asylum seekers. BRAC exists to empower its members through art activity and generate cultural exchange with the Bristol community. The group includes men and women from many countries.
In the 6th edition of the UWE / BRAC collaboration led by Mian Ng, Jo Barnfield, senior lecturer at UWE worked with BRAC and University of the West of England International students, leading a series of workshops to explore and make book forms, initially working on a collaborative RISO zine and then developing personal responses to the Bristol Refugee Festival theme of “Compassion”.
