Event map

For its fifth and final incarnation, Bread & Jam will be hosting To Be Converted, an exhibition inviting artists to challenge the spaces offered at 52 Whitbread Road. Artists are encouraged to alter, subvert and intervene in the space, with the freedom to be ambitious in scale and concept.

About

Bread and Jam exists as a platform to experiment and exchange where invited artists are given free rein to make new work, realise a piece they have yet to or present an existing piece. The venue is unique. It is an empty house not updated since the 1970s and spread over three floors. To be Converted will feature the works by more than 15 artists and will include practical lessons on how to snare a rabbit, a live beat box party performance, as well as a listening booth curated by Please Stand By.

Artists include: Michael Archer, Violeta Paez Armando, Minnie Casey, Kristin Fredricksson, Harriet Hill, Tom James, Paul O'Kane, Anna Liber-Lewis, Lucy May,  Matt Moser-Clark, Bada Song, Nils Alex Tabeling, Rob Welch and Tom Woolner..

Performance day/evening and film screenings tbc.
