About

24th - 29th October Open House - Daily - 10am - 12pm The Windmill, 22 Crown Mill, Princess Street, Lincoln, LN5 7QD Two Artist's Talks Given Simultaneously — Wed 27th Oct; 6pm - 7pm Sam Scorer Gallery, 5 Drury Lane, Lincoln Child led tour - Thurs 28th Oct; 1pm Meeting point, The Collection, Danes Terrace Townley and Bradby accompanied by their two children, are spending a week in residence with Lincoln Art Programme. They are inviting anyone interested in questioning; What the link between housework and artwork is. Whether creative people have messy houses. If the repeated task of clearing the table present an opportunity to observe the textures of the everyday. Whether children's creativity differ from that of adults. If exhaustion lead to new insights. A series of activities will happen during the residency including open house mornings, exposing the family's daily routines and activities. Drawing, making, playing, the drinking of tea, as well as the chance to share family traditions, discuss approaches to problem-solving, and celebrate the everyday will inform the open house. Townley and Bradby's residency will include two other events: a public talk, and a guided tour of Lincoln city centre which will be based on observations made by Townley and Bradby's children during their explorations of the streets in the preceding week.
