Open Studios kicks off on the Friday night with a party in the courtyard from 6.30pm. There will be live music, bars and Thai food. All of the artists' studios at the main Bow Road site will be open, as well as the brand new P1 Studios, situated a short walk away.
Saturday is a family day and children will be able to get âstuck in' and join free arts activities led by experienced artists. All the artists involved in the workshops also participate in the well established Bow Arts Trust Education programme so they have hours of experience working with children and know how to keep them entertained!
The weekend coincides with the launch of a new exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery. This exhibition has been curated by Bow Art Trust artist-in-residence Franko B. The exhibition, Can You Hear It? showcases work from 21 Bow Arts artists all of whom will be participating in the Open Studios. As part of the weekend's activities, Franko will be giving a talk about the exhibition at 2.45pm on Sunday 27 June.
