Learn how to create a series of direct botanical prints from foraged flora with artist, Amy Quinn.
About
Join me, Amy Quinn, for a fun and creative evening of Botanical Printmaking at Station South Cycle Café, Levenshulme! This hands-on workshop will teach you how to create beautiful prints inspired by nature using traditional relief printmaking techniques. You will learn about the different types of plants local to your area and how to dry, press, and preserve your own flora.
All materials will be provided for you to create your very own series of botanical artworks. Flora for printing will be provided and has been foraged using The Woodland Trust's Responsible Foraging Guidelines, but feel free to bring your own flowers and leaves too!
In this two-hour workshop, you will create a series of botanical mini prints, gift tags, and two A4 prints, onto recycled coloured card and cartridge paper. By the end of the workshop, you will have learnt the skills to continue this mindful creative practice at home.
