Borstal Space and Supralimen are proud to present two versions of a curated group show at Wayward Gallery E2 9HE.
Alternate Versions Alternate includes practices that approach the creative process with a reciprocation and circulation between the presence and experience of materiality in our hyper-modern context.
Democratisation of authorship and hyper mediation have altered both the position of the audience and the manner in which the physical manifestations of the creative process are produced. The works presented here freely oscillate between spaces of interaction and remembrance from a myriad of inputs, each resulting in homogenous conceptual outcomes.
During the intermediate week a program of screenings and discussions will take place surrounding the notions of this curated exhibition.
____
Borstal is an artist run curatorial project founded in 2009 to promote independent professional artists within a program that ranges from exhibitions, discussions, film screenings. Borstal works closely with the artists building an exchange that allows for an unrestricted process of collaborative creation resulting in a unique outcome open to the public.
Supralimen is a virtual curatorial space that organises and connects disparate visual research. Every two weeks ten images are collated under a term that brackets an examination of image and process in cultural forms. Images are followed by a short description that links the group, acting together as a possible analogy for known visual phenomena.
