“Borderlands” is a series of three changing exhibitions that explore art at the borders, or intersections, of current trends in contemporary art from 30th March until 18th April, 2022.
About
“Borderlands 3” brings together a number of UK based artists whose work straddles established trends in contemporary art and are, as a result, making some of the most interesting and challenging art today. Some of the opposing themes that are explored in this exhibition include:
Abstraction vs Representation in contemporary painting,collage and print.
Virtual vs Real reviews the impact of the virtual world on realised work, and vice versa.
Portrait vs Personal presents contemporary portraiture that express interior worlds.
Line vs Form explores how the simple line is the fundamental building block of 2D and 3D form.
Art vs Activism where the boundary between making art and political or social activism blurs.
