LINE GALLERY
Line Gallery is intended to support and enliven the careers of emerging artists, giving them a platform from which to exhibit work without creative constraints or financial commitment. The aim of the gallery is to show work of all media and from all backgrounds with the aim of creating a space for the development of new ideas and nurturing artistic excellence.
Line also offers talks and workshops with the purpose of giving artists the full range of tools and skills that they will need to succeed in their careers as a professional artist. Line Gallery is part of Stroud Valleys Artspace.
BOB GELSTHORPE
Bob Gelsthorpe lives and works in Cardiff, UK. For this first solo presentation of Bob's work, Sol Lewitt's infamous letter to Eva Hesse (1965) is a starting point, taking devotion and faith as catalytic factors for the works. Turning the letter from an intimate correspondence into a public statement creates a state of transition, where empathy and intimacy become readily accessible.
