About
The exhibition Blurry Grounds is part of the events organized within the framework of the research project "The Odyssey of Intermedial Space", a collaboration between the Department of Literature of the University of Athens and the Department of Arts and Media of the Universität Potsdam.
The notion of space is both structured and deconstructed many times over the centuries through revolutionary theories and scientific shifts and innovations. In the context of the open dialogue emerging around the theme of "Intermedial Space", the exhibition Blurry Grounds offers a different approach to the notion of Space through artistic practices.
A group of seven young artists proposes the exploration of Space using a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, installations, video-art, etc. Each artist's relationship with the notion of space is personal and relies on the most solid foundations, no other than memories, dreams and desires. The idea claims its potential form within the narrow limits of physical space, managing eventually to become space itself.
Visitors will navigate, among the works of art, through the exhibition space, in order to become part of a Space that tries to understand the limits of (its own) spatiality, if they exist...
