A visual narrative of self discovery and reconnection with art through life's challenges and moments of beauty highlighting the importance of hope, grace and resilience in facing joy and heartbreak.
About
An ominously darkened horizon or a the fragility of delicate flowers are two subjects Scotty gravitates to most in his art because both harbor such profound aspects of existence. Standing beneath dark skies invokes thoughts about how the enormity of a storm can illuminate the depth of our insignificance. Looking at the beauty in flowers elicits reflections on hope and renewal, the unspoken promise of peace and forgiveness. In both, it reminds him of the fleeting beauty of life's transience, forcing one to be still and know there is something bigger than ourselves that exists replete with hope of mercy and a certainty of grace. It is such a reflection that he wishes to impart upon those that visit this exhibit, urging all to find hope and grace in both the storms of life and the moments of fleeting beauty.
