To celebrate the season's turning, BLISS have curated a dark and psychedelic evening of music, performance and film. A selection of hallucinogenic queer pagan films from the LUX Moving Image touring programme THIS IS NOW, curated by the BFI’s Will Fowler, will punctuate the evening.
About
Cornwall legends, Zetan Spore, will headline the festivities with their live blend of high-powered psytrance. New Noveta, known for their immersive and unnerving performances often using bamboo and fish guts, will present a new piece in collaboration with musician Vindicatrix. Hazzari, a collaboration between London-based Mark Harwood (Penultimate Press, Café OTO) and fellow noise musician Lia Mazzari, have created site-specific work using industrial fans, a cello and a harmonium. Glasgow’s DJ Frog Princess will play music to rouse the spirits of the earth and improv band Essene will play jazz accompanied by video projections. Penzance-based Raffidy Dummitz Band will process through the building prior to their annual All Hallows duties as the pagan moot band in Penwith.
Dominic Bailey of CAST Café will host an elegant black-themed bar and offer a Dark Supper for £6.
