About
Black Sandal Writers will be giving readings to help any insomniac. Black Sandal was founded in 2009 to promote unknown writing of prose and poetry in English and translations of other literature. There is work from Hungarian, Finnish, Swedish, Czech, German, Spanish, Italian and Galician. It has published translations of the great Czech poet from Moravia, Jan Skácel. www.blacksandalpress.co.uk
Jaywick Martello Tower Coastal Open
The Coastal Open in now it its eight year and is proud to be part of Essex Summer of Art.
The Coastal Open is a celebration of local artists and groups, giving a chance to showcase their talents in arts and crafts. Work included ceramics, photography, textiles, painting plus much more.
Accompanying the Coastal Open is a series of FREE workshops and demonstrations on Saturdays throughout the exhibition. Artists will be on hand most Sundays 11am-2pm, so come along and meet the artists. Keep an eye on the website for more details www.jaywickmartellotower.org
