On the occasion of his exhibition Black Flag at Nikolaj Kunsthal, Spanish artist Santiago Sierra will be in Copenhagen on September 3rd, 2016. At 3pm Nikolaj Kunsthal and a/political will be hosting a conversation between Sierra and anarchist theorist Uri Gordon.

I anledning af verdenspremieren på udstillingen Black Flag, der netop nu kan opleves i Nikolaj Kunsthal, besøger den verdenskendte spanske kunstner Santiago Sierra København. Den 3. september kl. 15 kan du opleve Santiago Sierra i samtale med den anarkistiske teoretiker Uri Gordon. 
Samtalen vil finde sted i selve udstillingen, omgivet af billederne fra udstillingen Black Flag. Philip Howe fra a/political vil efterfølgende deltage i samtalen som producenter af Black Flag –projektet. 

Alle er velkommen – men vær opmærksom på, at der er begrænsede siddepladser. Det kan derfor være en fordel at komme tidligt. Billetter 50kr. for voksne. Se mere om udstilling på Nikolajkunsthal.dk 

Medvirkende: 
Santiago Sierra er født i Madrid i 1966 og bor og arbejder i Mexico City. Han har haft soloudstillinger over det meste af verden, bl.a. på KunstWerke i Berlin, MACBA i Barcelona, Deichtorhalle i Hamburg, Museo Tamayo i Mexico City og MoMA PS1 i New York, ligesom han har deltaget på biennalerne i bl.a. Venedig og Busan.

Uri Gorden underviser i politik på Nottingham University. Han har en Ph.D.fra University of Oxford og har skrevet “Anarchy Alive!” (Pluto Press) samt andre værker om nutidig radikal politik og teori. Hans arbejde er oversat til 13 sprog.

On the occasion of his exhibition Black Flag at Nikolaj Kunsthal, Spanish artist Santiago Sierra will be in Copenhagen on September 3rd, 2016. At 3pm Nikolaj Kunsthal and a/political will be hosting a conversation between Sierra and anarchist theorist Uri Gordon. The conversation will take place in the exhibition itself. Philip Howe from a/political will join the conversation afterwards as producers of the Black Flag project.

Contributors:

Santiago Sierra was born in Madrid in 1966 and lives and works in Mexico City. He has had solo exhibitions throughout most of the world, among these at KunstWerke in Berlin, MACBA in Barcelona, Deichtorhalle in Hamburg, Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and MoMA PS1 in New York, and he has also participated in the Biennales of, among others, Venice and Busan.

Uri Gordon is a lecturer in politics at Nottingham University, and co-convenor of the Anarchist Studies Network. A long-term environmental and anti-war activist, he holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford and is the author of “Anarchy Alive!” (Pluto Press) and other works on contemporary radical politics and theory. His work has been translated into 13 languages.

a/political is a non-profit organisation, collaborating with artists who work within a socio-political framework. a/political, initiate, produce and tour large-scale projects worldwide. With offices based in London, a/political opened The Foundry in 2014 as an experimental art space, hosting ambitious projects outside the controls of the contemporary art market. Artists are invited to produce large-scale work in the neighbouring factories.
