About
“Slow Knowledge - the pursuit of contemplative wisdom for a more sustainable world” - Paul Warwick
In this lunchtime talk, Dr Paul Warwick will discuss how he has been inspired by the writing of educational scholars such as David Orr, and by a particular art installation by the Japanese artist Yukinori Yanagi, to slow down the learning spaces he seeks to curate. In particular, he will share how his educational practice has adopted dialogic and reflexive approaches to engaging people, compassionately considering how to live more sustainably with ourselves, others and the environment.
