Take part in the community co-creation of the garden beds outside Toynbee Studios!
These hands-on planting and growing sessions will be an opportunity to participate in the cultivation and transformation of the garden beds outside Toynbee Studios.
About
Join artist, writer and human ecologist Zoë Laureen Palmer and experienced community gardener Ali for some gentle planting, seed and plant swapping of herbs which support psycho-emotional wellbeing. The sessions will be held entirely outside and in the event of severe weather conditions the dates will be changed and attendees will be notified via email. There’s no need to bring equipment, and light drinks and snacks will be provided.
These workshops are for residents of Aldgate, Whitechapel and Spitalfields. We encourage you to join for as many dates as you can!
biome: planting and growing workshops is part of biome: experiments in radical kinship, a year-long residency programme in the Artsadmin Canteen from Zoë Laureen Palmer. This residency, which began in June 2023 and continues into July 2024, explores how we can feel our way into meaningful relationships with the natural world, within the communities local to Toynbee Studios.
